Rayan
In January, Wasswa Rayan received a scan of his thyroid to find out why he was having severe stomach issues. Following the scan, he was given medication and he is now having consistent hospital visits. His appetite, feeding, weight and breathing has improved as well as his skin turning back to the right color. We are so grateful for these improvements in his health and the consistent care he is now able to receive.
Joseph
Joseph attended the AAC in 2022 and 2023, where he acquired basic literacy skills. He was then referred to his local school. Now Joseph is successfully studying there while receiving follow-up services from the AAC. He recently received an operation at CORSU Hospital in Entebbe. He is one of many children who have benefited from life-changing surgeries.
Daily Living Activities
All students at the AAC participate in daily living activities. Through these activities, they are learning to be more independent. They are preparing for career opportunities in the future and learning to take care of themselves.
Family Gifts
70 children and their families received Christmas gifts (chickens, pigs, and goats). The families will raise these animals, which will be a blessing to them for years. We are so grateful for our amazing donors who gave generously this Christmas.
Okello Raymond
Okello Raymond is one of our students who received a goat for Christmas. Because of this gift, he has now been able to raise four goats. He is so happy with his success. This will greatly bless his future.
Adaptive Equipment
Adaptive equipment, such as walkers have been used to help many of our students gain mobility. Particularly, the mobility of Mawejje Vincent and Basalirwa Shirat has greatly improved.
Muwa
Muwa has been making great improvements since attending the AAC. In 2022, he received surgeries to correct his club foot and leg positioning. In July 2023, he received surgeries to mend a broken femur. Muwa is now able to stand and walk with assistance. Last year, he was unable to do either. Muwa is one of seven children to receive surgeries during 2023.
Kaddu
Kaddu and his grandmother are currently receiving home renovations from a kind donor. A new roof and floor is in under construction. Additionally, they have received extra support in food, water, clothes, multi-vitamins and toys. Kaddu is happy and healthy.
Cathy
Cathy became very ill in July but thanks to your donations she was able to visit the doctor and received a typhoid diagnosis. She is now receiving consistent medical care. With donations, Cathy could also improve her quality of living, such as receiving her first bed.
